[New post] Friday’s Here Again, So Here’s a Few Drawings Then

Hello for yet another Friday post, and today's post is likely to be the shortest one yet as I only have a few things to show off and talk about. As such, let's just get on with it.
There's very little to talk about in terms of my drawing and sketching practices these past few days since that area has been rather uneventful with the only major event being that my traveling is over with and that I'm not going to be doing any more of that for the near future, which means I have all of my art supplies available on hand at pretty much a moment's notice. This has led me to go back to my 9" x 12" Canson sketchbook so that I can focus on filling that one up first before moving on fully to other sketchbooks. Well, I'm at least planning to fill it up before all of my other waiting sketchbooks aside from one in particular.
At the same time, I'm also looking to continue working in my 5.5" x 8.5" Strathmore 300 series Mixed Media sketchbook since I've been drawing in it a bit while I was away from home recently. Since I don't have that terribly many blank pages remaining in that sketchbook (about 30 sheets or so) and since this book's paper is both smaller in dimensions and higher quality in comparison to my regular sketchbook paper, I think that I'm going to use this for smaller drawings that I want to spend a bit more time on without having to worry about filling in a lot of blank space on a page.
Another sketch of the mummy of "The Unknown Lady"
Therefore, I'm looking to use my Canson sketchbook for quicker sketches and drawing practices (such as timed figure drawings or basic still-lifes) and my Strathmore sketchbook for drawings I want to put more a bit more time and detail into to make them look just a little bit nicer (such as my Kate Bush portrait from earlier this week and the Edgar Ramirez portrait I finished in time for this post). As of right now, I'm liking the idea of dual sketchbooks as a way of focusing on completing two sketchbooks simultaneously while having two different drawing surfaces to choose from to suit my interests or needs at a given moment. I'll work with this setup for the next week or so and see if hopefully it works for me.
Well, that's already everything I have to say on this Friday, so on Tuesday, I'll bring in even more of my drawing and sketching progress and hopefully also show work in both of my current sketchbooks. Until then, thanks for reading, stay safe, and have a pleasant weekend.
