Geeta Bhawan provides free stay near Parmarth Niketan Ghat.
Shivpuri is 13 km ahead ……it's also a good sight for solo camping…..like Ganga Ghat in Shivpuri.
Hostels in Rishikesh starts from ₹130 per night per Bunk bed.
You can reach Rishikesh without money like me….via Meerut expressway…. Hitchhiking was very very easy.
To select trains for Rishikesh…. always chose the station name YOGANAGRI RISHIKESH and not Rishikesh Central….both are different.
Delhi to Rishikesh Train ticket (2S) price is ₹120.
Neelkanth trek is free with the best forest walk in RAJAJI NATIONAL PARK.
There are many free waterfall treks….but camping near them is not suggested…..ask the locals for more help.
After Rishikesh…… You can also go to Devprayag…..Free camping Shelters available Right on the Sangam Ghat.
Be aware with the Local sentiments about Alcohol and Non-Veg.
I did this 1 month Delhi to Rishikesh trip absolutely without money.
Rishikesh is a 12 month season place….. which is rare in india…..due to climatic conditions.
With Rishikesh….. you can also explore…. Haridwar, Devprayag, Mussoorie, Dehradun, and many other nearby places……But remember always….. Hitchhiking is very easy.
