The last 30 minutes of stage 8 on the Tandridge Border Path were a real treat. I heard my first cuckoo of the year, near this pond which nestles along one part of the "Kent Brook".
A lady dressed in what looked like military fatigues was trying to get good bird shots, saying this is a good place for Kingfishers. There weren't any whilst we chatted.
Saturday morning taxis in the Edenbridge area had been a difficulty I tried to plan ahead and get one to meet me at Haxted at around 1:30pm.
Roz came to my rescue, the last bit would now be another day.
In summary I guess this was a 7 out of 10 experience.
