Gmail is back up and running this afternoon after a short outage.
According to Down Detector, a website that monitors such issues, the problems started at around 13:08 GMT and affected users globally.
But by 14:00 GMT the issue with the go-to email service for thousands of people worldwide appeared to be resolved.
While the reason for the outage remains unclear, more than 7,400 issues had been logged on Down Detector.
Of those who reported problems, 86 percent complained of an issue with the server connection, 10 percent with log-in, and three percent with receiving emails.
Users across the UK and the rest of the world reported issues with Gmail, with most coming from London, according to Down Detector.
Two years ago Gmail also suffered an outage - this time for five hours - which left frustrated users unable to send or receive emails.
Several frustrated users took to Twitter to complain.
Many appeared to be getting a 502 error when trying to access their emails, which read: 'The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.'
While that issue appeared to affect UK users predominantly, others reported problems getting into Gmail from other countries including Spain and Kenya.
Gmail has some 1.5 billion users worldwide. No cause has yet been revealed for the latest outage.
