Your Victory Over Fear Is Victory Indeed (Pt. 3)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7 (NKJV)
Anywhere you see fear, God is not there. It is not godly. "Fear not" is neither an admonition nor an advice; it is rather a commandment. The Bible says in Isa. 8:12 (NKJV): "Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid." The command "say ye not" conveys a strict directive that ought to be followed. Knowing God and fearing what people who don't know Him fear is anathema. Those who know God are strong and full of courage (Dan. 11:32). God has not given you the spirit of fear, as is evident from our anchor text. Fear is a spirit that possesses its victims and renders them incapable of realising their full potential. The Spirit given to us by God isn't one of fear but of power. Therefore, as a believer, you must refuse fear and place complete confidence in God.
Moreover, the presence of fear shows the absence of faith. Fear shows a lack of focus and dependence on God. Your fears will decrease as your faith in God increases. As fear is a spirit, so also is faith. The Bible says in 2 Cor. 4:13: "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak". The Spirit of faith is therefore the Spirit that a believer has received. As faith comes by hearing (Rom. 10:17), so does fear. Stop listening to the false evidence of your situations. Fear simply means - False Evidence Appearing Real, so the challenges may appear real, but they remain unreal. Thus, you need to deliberately speak against everything that propagates fear. As seen in the aforementioned verse, faith is never quiet. Faith that is not expressed with your mouth is a dead faith; your faith is only measured by your words. It is your voice that activates your faith. Those who believe must declare it.
DECLARATION
Today, I declare that I have not received the spirit of fear. I refuse to live in fear. I walk in the authority of my redemptive right. I have the Spirit of faith and not of fear. I am faith-driven. I refuse to be feeble-hearted and will never bow to situations meant to bow to me. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus' name.
KEEP IN MIND
Fear simply means - False Evidence Appearing Real, so the challenges may appear real, but they remain unreal.
