On April 17, 2016, this 512 sq meter parcel in Quentin was claimed by Quinn Leilani for the purpose of exhibiting art in an informal park setting. Bordered on all four sides by a variety of neighbors and their builds over the years, the small park has been steady and sustainable. In the beginning the art was changed every month, which eventually became every two months.
Avatars sharing their work regularly through the whole seven years include Elle Thorkveld, Klaus Bereznyak, Pearl Grey, Veyot, and Wheedle. The current exhibit, March - April, also displays work by Amy Inawe, Gisele Seeker, Kate Silver, and Quinn, as well as pieces from a personal collection.
Until just a few months ago, a 1024 parcel owned by Minty Vanilla was joined to the park. It had a cafe and gallery with an outdoor courtyard, generously donated for use by the group.
There is now a pretty [security-orbed] nature area where the cafe used to be. Landmarks in the destination and event posters on still on the fences in that corner.
There's a teleporter to an upper level, built when the park was boxed in by gigantic builds in front and back.
Also, to open things up more, there's a stargate portal that connects to another 512 parcel in Masan, Art Portal Park, which exhibits works from private collections. It was rented quite some time ago, and is now even more appreciated. Adjacent to that park is a Last Drop Cafe in Haman, owned by art park friend and contributor Veyot.
There's free champagne on the upper level, and a view of the sea, as Wanderlust Bench Art Park quietly celebrates its seventh anniversary. We'd enjoy having you stop by.
