Write a kudos on those who said last week that I was "too smart to know what Google is going to do about it." Well, you can bet. But my point is that Google has already built up an incredible wall of support and expertise in terms of what it wants to do with its data. Most likely, Google just wants to pull the plug on its entire network of devices and give it a new version of the Google app, with the best parts being supported by people who want to use it more.
So why do you think Google finally got it so wrong? Because Google thinks that the majority of its competitors don't bother to talk to it. Google is pretty much the only company that actually cares about you and is willing to do things in every way possible that don't really make any sense in a consumer's perspective. And this is why the situation I'm trying to explain isn't that Google can't do anything about it, it's that a lot of companies that have invested so much in these data mining tools are just not getting their act together.
So in order to keep it clear that this is all a distraction from Google's goal of making it even better, I'm going to say something completely different.
The problem you mean by that isn't you, there's just so much at stake for the whole consumer base when a company who wants to provide the best possible data about their users can get away with doing what Google calls "faster

As things stand, we currently have a very small number (about six) of submissions, with some likely more coming soon. However, the number of folks willing to put in the hard work to finish making something great is growing. I'm sure the next year will see a much higher number of submissions.
