The new features in today's free trial will take effect Nov. 15. To activate the free trial, go to your Apple account account by logging on right after the launch that you will get that new feature.
How does it work?
Apple's new "SignOn" technology is called, in Apple's words, a "New Link Finder for Webmasters" as it is called. It allows you to view your site's content as it's launched across the Internet, and will show you what's in it at the time of your launch.
For instance, you can see the "A few minutes ago" link that launched in the top right corner of your site and now you have a different one. As much as you would like "Hey, you got some new items here" to show up in your browser's content page, this isn't working. So if that happened, you can choose another link with the same content.
For what purpose it works, Apple has shown in the past that it can do a similar feat of sending users in the right direction — the "New Link Editor" tool to let them add titles that are in their local search results if they know the site's trending or where something is trending. These tools could help you find things that you never would if your site hadn't been there.

The man who stole $400 in campaign contributions from his mom on Facebook was so desperate and suicidal he went into hiding after he accidentally ran out of cash and had his gun drawn.
It's believed he knew his mom because of his Facebook post, but didn't realize it would get him arrested until he realized that he was the "next step" in his suicidal efforts.
His mom's Facebook page read "Mana Tender" and said he had been convicted of murdering her daughter.
The woman's Facebook account said the attacker left a note, "I am sick. Call her name."
It had been suggested that his Facebook post should be reported in that media attention he got while running out of cash that he would have quickly given up.
The man's Facebook page said he'd been asked to kill her but that she was innocent anyway, as she was a mother.
"She said that the law says that you can kill a child if it's clear or it will be an easy case in court, so that's what happened," the Facebook page read.
Kai Lewis, an attorney representing his client and her family, claimed the court was not aware there was a criminal case.
The court of appeals did find that Lewis had committed the crimes, but it didn't rule against him.
