Write a clandestine memo from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to President Barack Obama, who has recently warned there is "high likelihood" a criminal investigation into Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election.
If found guilty, Clapper could have his "secret" memo confiscated and removed, and possibly held indefinitely.
In the meantime, Clapper plans to be in Washington and answer questions from reporters later Friday and Tuesday.
If not, he'll have to testify on whether Russia meddled in the U.S. elections to prove his innocence.
"We need to look deeply into this and find out who did this," said Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), who chairs the Intelligence Committee. "The intelligence community can't rule out what the Russians did and what did not, there should be a criminal investigation."
The dossier was obtained and published by WikiLeaks in June 2016 and quickly has been picked up by the mainstream media and government officials across the world. The Trump administration has said it is investigating Moscow's meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Comey has said that the dossier could be destroyed and replaced with a "new, unbiased, fully vetted" version of the documents. He has also threatened to shut down federal agencies.

Write a clandestine memo about a covert operation of the CIA to monitor political activists from the 1980s to 2001 and then go to them to arrange their escape.
One memo explains, by way of example, that the CIA was using groups of young leftists as potential targets at the 1980s. In this case, the group of leftist activists was the "Proletarian-Organized Police State (PSOS)." Many of them were "former students" who had left the Soviet Union for other countries. One memo explained, "They used students as human shield agents against our enemies. They were able to find us by name, because there were so many of us who had left in the Soviet Union, but they could find us easily in American prisons. By the 1990s, with the exception of former Communists, the PSOS had turned into highly sophisticated "human shields" (meaning "pursuits") for "radical right," often with money, and now mainly run by foreign governments and special-interest groups.
By 1998, most of the PSOS "human shields" were gone by the end of the decade. And to fill it in, the same CIA officers went up to Hong Kong for a CIA meeting. In January of the same year, a number of American spies were on the premises, including the former PSOS leader Paul Allen, who was involved in the 1999 "pro-Kremlin" operation

The American and Canadian diplomats were not at the front lines.
While the White House insisted that the administration had made efforts to understand the situation, several others had been critical.
For instance, the U.S. ambassador who had been at the scene of the fire, William Burns, said Washington "made mistakes."

The United States had a "sting point" that could not be adequately measured, even if it might be the first time an Iranian president had such an issue. The goal was to establish a mechanism with such agreements, "or that would be useful to the non-nuclear states," according to a former United Nations security official, who was not authorized to speak publicly because he had not been informed of the discussions.

After Obama was elected, he and his administration set off a series of tests. In March 2009, the CIA tested air balloons that traveled over a country in the Middle East.
