"A police officer should not have to look at a letter containing personal information such as age, background, nationality, sex, or race," said Andrew Wright, head of the advocacy organization Police Violence Against Women.
The letter comes after a three-month, five-day trial involving 14 accused men for the second time - the longest such defense in the U.S.
One defendant said he was shocked by the fact that the police force responded with five tips regarding a rape suspect, one of whom was identified only by his first name. He said he'd met others who came forward, including detectives at the rape and attempted rape scene but said he never received a police call.
After three months, the prosecutor announced an end to the four-month trial and recommended that authorities stop investigating "all persons who violate this law as perpetrators of this crime, that they be prosecuted in court and that offenders be given probation or sentenced to the time served."
The judge also directed that no more federal charges should be brought against other defendants.
The district attorney's office said in a statement that it will be filing another appeal seeking the same fate.
Wright said he was disappointed that the defense team had successfully defended the case, which he said was "very complex and involves dozens of people in a matter of minutes." Those people would be entitled to a fair

When I find out that a male person uses rape culture to insult female feminist organizations, I would agree with her and agree with her stance.
