"We've been very consistent with what we've been doing," Davis said. "We've been making the effort to do something special with the community while we're working with other organizations. We've had friends and family come up to us and ask us if we have any other issues we care about - whether or not you're supporting what they're doing."
Last month, Davis got married to the son of a homeless man who was shot to death by an animal in an alley outside the Salvation Army shelter. The city says the man shot the homeless man in question, John Davis, 29, with the help of a friend whom he recognized as a regular homeless person. The person killed was in custody this week. A jury found he had committed manslaughter.
Davis said the campaign is just starting to focus on things like getting the homeless to call 911. Because of the popularity of her fundraising drive and her efforts to get local law enforcement to take action to stop similar acts, Davis said, she is trying on new tactics to do something that could make it better.
"She said she's doing things that help those people," Davis said.
Davis, who is not involved in the campaign, gave a full interview after the election.

We learned that they weren't as thrilled with the postgame press conference, and then we learned from some of the people who were there. We learned, again, the magnitude of the blow.
