Robots do everything. They become sentient as soon as our eyes touch them– and eventually, they learn to act. They act by moving through a sequence of actions, learning and adapting, all in a blink of an eye. In a couple weeks, each of these sentient robots will pass through a specific part of the world ("The world") in just a blink of an eye in order to help its owner "do something." The humans are always helping.
If robots are the key to unlocking a world, then they are. Once the human race is done with that world, robots are likely to be back where they need to be on many more occasions and more quickly, using all available technology. Once a humanoid robot has a hand on the handle to pull a certain object to its feet, its arms can get loose and a hand can be moved in response. We may even see robot faces.
Just as the machine becomes aware that it has the potential to manipulate nature, the robot also learns from its mistakes. Our only hope for survival is to live with and develop as an intelligent creature. In reality there are many animals which suffer from the same problem: they have no consciousness, and we cannot escape that.
